Bread wallet – BRD – app, fees

Breadwallet is a real standalone bitcoin client. There is no server to get hacked or go down, so you can always access your money. Using SPV mode, breadwallet connects directly to the bitcoin network with the fast performance you need on a mobile device. In terms of ease of use one of the top Bitcoin wallets out there, but downside is the limited means of use - i,e, only Apple iOS and Android, no Desktop versions.

Bread Wallet Review[edit]

Bread wallet is one of the easiest bitcoin wallets to use which is available as a mobile app for iOS and Android. A streamlined, highly intuitive design makes the process fast and straightforward for logging in, creating an account, and transacting with bitcoin.

Under the hood, the Bread app is built to protect personal information and privacy. The combination of convenience and security makes BRD a good option for bitcoin beginners and non-technical users[1].

Breadwallet Fees[edit]

Bread wallet is free to use. However, when you make bitcoin transactions you will need to pay fees to the bitcoin network. Recent updates to the app include the ability to adjust transaction fees based on priority, giving users the option to pay more for faster transactions.

When buying bitcoin through the Bread app, you may also incur some fees which are charged by your bank and/or a third-party service used to link your account to your wallet.

Bread wallet is a hot wallet, meaning that it is connected to the internet. This makes it very easy to use but ideally shouldn't be used for large amounts of money. Think of it as a current account rather than a savings account.

Security[edit]

Breadwallet is designed to protect you from malware, browser security holes and even physical theft. With AES hardware encryption, app sandboxing, keychain and code signatures, breadwallet represents a significant security advance over web and desktop wallets, and other mobile platforms.
