Early life and career

He graduated from North Garland High School in Garland, Texas in 2010. In October 2015 while a student at Cal State San Bernardino, he met Mahbod Moghadam, the co-founder of Genius and a Y Combinator alumnus, along with Sam Kazemian, the founder of Everipedia while they were giving a tech talk at nearby Cal Poly Pomona.

Everipedia

In December 2015, he dropped out of his computer science program to move into Everipedia’s first headquarters (PH2 at 972 Hilgard Ave. on UCLA campus) to work on the project full time as a founding member alongside Sam Kazemian, Mahbod Moghadam, Theodor Forselius, and Travis Moore. Deciga played a key role after joining the founding team of Everipedia by bringing in millions of page views to the site during its early days through viral marketing campaigns that weren’t paid for. He authored Everipedia entries that were consistently shared widely on social media sites Facebook and Twitter. Most of his Everipedia articles were often cited in news publications and blogs. During the 2016 presidential campaign of U.S. President Trump, the New York Times linked an Everipedia entry authored by Deciga.

In December 2018, he was featured in American rapper Juicy J’s music video for “Let Me See”. Deciga, Kazemian, and Moghadam appear at the 5:28 mark of the video behind American rapper Kevin Gates. The music video also features snippets of EOS.io code written on a chalkboard by Sam Kazemian.
