Coinhako

Coinhako is a Cryptocurrency wallet provider in Southeast Asia. It is headquartered in Singapore and has presence in countries such as Malaysia and Indonesia.

History

Founded by Yusho Liu and Gerry Eng in 2014 July, Coinhako is the first Asian startup to be accepted into Boost VC, a Bitcoin focused accelerator in Silicon Valley. During the same year, Coinhako also received angel investment from Boost VC, Tim Draper (DFJ) and Josh Jones (co founder of Dreamhost) and is the largest Cryptocurrency wallet service in Southeast Asia, by volume. In January 2017, Coinhako embarked on its first expansion efforts by opening up the very first Coinhako MYR account, in Malaysia. In May 2018, Coinhako further expanded to Indonesia while having processed over SGD 350 Million since inception.

Mission

Coinhako’s main goal is to bring liquidity and easy cryptocurrency access to the Southeast Asian Markets.

Products & Services

Coinhako’s core services include:

  1. User-facing retail brokerage for cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum and Bitcoin Cash with up to 3 fiat currencies (SGD, MYR & IDR).
  2. Secured e-wallets to manage and store cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum and Bitcoin Cash.
