Depository network
Depository Network (DEPO) is the world’s first multi-platform network enabling all traditional credit institutions worldwide and P2P lending platforms to accept digital assets as collateral.
DEPO came together in 2017 when experienced legal, technical and financial minds united. Co-founders include Svetoslav Dimitrov, Deliyan Nikolov, Ivo Gueorguiev, Valeri Valtchev, and Dimitar Kostov.
Svetoslav Dimitrov (CEO & Co-Founder)
An eminent legal professional with over 15 years of experience, Svetoslav is currently a managing partner at Penkov, Markov & Partners — one of the top law firms in Bulgaria.
Throughout his career, he has led NGOs in the areas of IT and TMT and has also been a member of the Supervisory Board for the Bulgarian Telecommunication Company as well as a member of the Innovation Council at BCCI.
Svetoslav earned his Master of Law degree from the University St. Kliment Ohridski in Sofia.
He is currently a member of the Management Board for the Bulgarian Fintech Association, a role he assumed in Sept. 2017.
Delyan Nikolov (Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer)
A former board member for the Bulgarian Chamber of Private Enforcement Agents, Deliyan is also the co-founder of the Court of Arbitration of Commercial Disputes in Burgas. He currently holds a representative role for the Bulgarian Chamber in the European Judicial Network at the European Commission. Over the past few years he has invested in several fintech start ups. He has co-founded Billbutler and Internet Television Eurofolk TV and is the owner of Deliyan Nikolov Enforcement Office for the City of Burgas.
Deliyan attended Burgas Free University where he earned a Master Degree in Law.
Guergana Stoichkova (Chief Operations Officer)
With a BSc in Business Administration from Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich and an MSc in Finance from Bocconi University in Italy, Guergana has been heavily involved in projects revolving around fintech and blockchain technology. She is the director of the Bulgarian Fintech Association and has worked as an investment analyst for INNIMMO — an investment banking boutique. She also co-founded and is the vice-president of 180 Degrees Consulting Sofia — the Bulgarian branch of the world’s largest student driven consultancy. She has served as CFO at a couple of start ups, which has given her a unique experience that she brings to the Depository Network team.
Valeri Valtchev (Co-Founder and Business Developer)
As a long-term investor with ample experience in deal sourcing and structuring, investment management and venture building, Valeri has built and grown 15 businesses in a variety of industries including IT, professional services, financial services, energy, automotive, real estate, telecoms and entertainment.
Prior to returning to Bulgaria and moving into investment management Valeri was an attorney with White & Case LLP in Washington D.C. and Brussels, one of the top three law firms globally at the time. Later, he was managing partner and board member at Forton International. In 2012 he led the restructuring of the consumer finance business at Société Générale in Bulgaria which was later developed into an e-money issuing and acquiring bank — Paynetics. In the recent years he co-founded a number of start-ups, mainly in the area of fintech.Valeri earned a Master of Law degree from Sofia University St Kliment Ohridski and also studied at Columbia Law School.
Dimitar Kostov (Technology Board Member and Investor)
With over 20 years in management and executive roles, Dimitar is known as an organizational leader. His experience includes work in the IT industry, enterprise companies and start ups. He brings his extensive experience managing and optimizing distributed organizations to the Depository Network team.
Dimitar has previously worked as the CEO of Methodia Ltd, a start up that offers cloud services and was the co-founder and managing partner at Sciant/WizCom, which was Bulgaria’s biggest outsourcing company.. It was later acquired by VMware, one of the largest IT companies in the world that houses over 20,000 developers around the globe. He currently works as the ISBU site lead for the company.
Martin Kuvandjiev (Technology Board Member)
Martin is one of the co-founders of Bitcoin Gold who brings also extensive iOS development experience including roles with Phyre JSC, Playground Energy Ltd and Sion JSC.
He attended Technical University of Sofia, earning a Bachelor of Engineering and also studied at the High School of Mechanics and Electrotechincs-Burgas.
Martin has also worked as an assistant professor at the Technical University and a swift lecturer in Software University. He has been the recipient of the prestigious John Atanasov award and won the NASA Space Apps challenge.
Petar Markov (Co-Founder and Marketing Strategist)
Petar has over 10 years of experience in digital marketing, branding and web development. Key aspiration towards front-end development and design. Petar is a true blockchain enthusiast, strongly engaged in online communities and interested in the practical application of Blockchain and IoT.
