Exodus Wallet Review App

Exodus is a multi-cryptocurrency wallet that boasts an easy-to-use UI. You can keep your Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), DASH, Decred (DCR), Ethereum Classic (ETC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Bitcoin Gold (BTG) and Vertcoin (VTC), along with a continuously increasing number of Ethereum tokens, all in one place and easily calculate and organize your savings with their pie chart portfolio.

Exodus has a built-in exchange that allows you to instantly trade the supported coin between themselves. The backup wizard will allow you to keep your wallet safe and ready for later use. Exodus is partially open source.

All Ethereum based currencies' transaction fees must be paid in Ethereum directly so you much keep Ethereum in your wallet to sell them.

Exodus Wallet Review[edit]

Exodus Wallet is available not only on Windows PCs but also on Mac and Linux computers as well which makes it a solid cryptocurrency software wallet recommendation for pretty much everyone.

The Exodus client has three main components:

The wallet is probably where you’re going to be spending most of your time. Here, you can see the balances of all your coins, monitor your transactions, and send/receive funds. You’re even able to filter your transactions by “sent”, “received”, and “exchanged” – a convenient feature to further help keep you organized. I can’t emphasize enough how impressed I am with the team’s dedication to providing an outstanding user experience.

Exodus is integrated with ShapeShift. This means you can swap coins directly in the wallet without having to send them to an exchange. The exchange screen clearly shows the amount you’re going to receive in the swap (both in crypto and fiat values) as well as the current spread of the transaction. The wallet goes to great lengths to ensure that there’s no confusion when making the trade.

All supported assets can be seen in their roadmap: https://support.exodus.io/article/96-exodus-wallet-roadmap.

Exodus App[edit]

Some customers have also expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of a mobile app for Android and iOS smartphones. Developers of the project propose that this feature will be developed in the future.

Download[edit]

Exodus Wallet is available to download for free from the official Exodus website. To install the app, click on the version you'd like to install from the download page via the three links in the top-right menus; Windows, Mac, or Linux. After clicking on the link that matches your computer, your web browser will download the selected installation file when can then be opened to begin the installation process.

When Exodus Wallet requires an update, this installation process will need to be repeated as the app cannot update itself. Reinstalling it will not lose any of your data or cryptocoins though as that information is protected from the installation process.
