Global Digital Asset Exchange (GDAX) is a cryptocurrency exchange, founded in April 2012 in USA (San Francisco, CA) Brian Armstrong and Fred Ehrsam. It was originally called Coinbase and was the first licensed cryptocurrency exchange platform in America. The main difference from Coinbase is that this project is focused on professional traders with rich trading experience. In may 2016, it changed its name, from June 29, 2018, GDAX became Coinbase Pro service.

GDAX offers institutions and professionals the ability to trade a variety of digital currencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and more on a regulated U.S. based exchange. GDAX is transitioning in the Coinbase Pro and Coinbase Prime offering in the upcoming weeks All the .gdax.com endpoints are being deprecated, and will be removed entirely on 12/31/2018
