Helbiz is a project based on a decentralized blockchain platform designed for transport rental. The platform has its own cryptocurrency of the same name, which can be used to pay for various services. Helbiz works on the blockchain and Ethereum smart contracts. With this platform, people can rent or lease the following types of transport:

  • cars,
  • motorcycles,
  • bikes.

Ecosystem of Helbiz is based on a private token, which operates on the standard ERC20. The HBZ coin is a priority means of payment on the platform, but there are other ways to pay for services.

Advantages[edit]

Most of the well-known sites that provide services for the rental of transport, take a fairly large percentage of the funds received as a result of the delivery of transport. The Helbiz platform is the complete opposite, as it significantly reduces not only transaction costs, but also legal costs. This decrease is due to the use of blockchain technology and smart contracts on Helbiz, which allow paying more money to landlords, when compared with centralized platforms.

How does it work[edit]

The project's Whitepaper says that transport rental will be carried out as follows:

  • A person makes a choice of vehicle through the application Helbiz¬†;
  • When the selection is made, the system starts to check both the user's and the landlord's data¬†;
  • Then the choice of the plan and the lease term is made. In addition, it is possible to buy an insurance that will cover all trips through smart contracts;
  • When the smart contract is verified and the conditions are agreed, the digital key of the vehicle will be sent to the user's phone.

Where to buy tokens[edit]

HBZ tokens are purchased on the following cryptocurrency exchanges:

  • Coinhub
  • Exmo
  • Mercatox
  • Sistemkoin
  • IDEX
  • Bitlish
  • EtherDelta

In addition to the fact that Helbiz can be bought for cryptocurrency, it can also be purchased for fiat money.
