History of creation[edit]

LIOS platform was created by the SYSTRAN organization. This company is known for having led the machine translation management processes of NMT (Neural Machine Translation) and RBMT (Rule-Based Machine Translation) for more than fifty years. This type of activity became the basis for the creation of innovative strategies and the introduction of technologies for the implementation of translations and programs related to language projects. All this became possible due to the large amount of knowledge that has been accumulated over many years of work on the creation of language development. The technological barrier to the creation of algorithms used in the creation of tools based on artificial intelligence has also been overcome.

LIOS creators have set their main goal - to destroy barriers to access to information for the entire population of the planet. Achieving this goal should have a fruitful impact on the development of modern society. As a way to achieve this goal, the process of creating a new ecosystem based on blockchain technologies with open code was launched. A distinctive feature of this system was the opportunity for partners to be both a consumer and a manufacturer. An additional system of protection was an absolutely innovative technology aimed at copyright protection. A large number of market participants working in the field of translation and linguistic processing and data analysis experience a certain isolation. This is due to the great difficulties experienced by companies in the protection and management of copyright and related rights. This is also true for the management of intellectual property. Security in this market segment requires large amounts of work from specialized organizations. They are very time-consuming and complex, as this process is due to the registration of a certain amount of information and patent documentation. There is also a large number of problems in the segment of linguistic processing. The main problem is the constant resource shortage. Qualified translation specialists are not physically able to process the available amount of information. The market is built in such a way that monopolists of this segment use certain quotas for the operation of modern systems for automated analysis and processing of information. Additionally, there are limitations on the use of computing power. Without the use of original information processing systems, the effect of machine translation loses its value due to a large number of inaccuracies and errors. The LIOS ecosystem is designed to solve these kinds of problems. It determines the integration of blockchain technologies, which are written on the basis of smart contracts. A distinctive feature of this system is the integration of machine learning systems and a working tool for language analysis and information processing. These tools provide reliable protection of intellectual property. An important feature of the LIOS ecosystem is a fair system of profit sharing between participants. The main working area of the LIOS ecosystem is a specific e-commerce platform. On this marketplace, professionals in the field of language analysis, translation or ordinary users who need content have the opportunity to communicate with each other and reach agreements on profitable joint activities. The technology of interaction with the platform is as follows – participants get access to the system interface. There they can use the system both in the field of manual translation and in the field of language translation based on neural technology. The platform also allows conducting experiments and research in the direction of dialect and linguistic modeling. For additional protection, all user activity is logged into the blockchain. The functionality of the system allows users to automatically determine the level of investment of each party in the development of a particular product. This allows users to automatically transfer to each side of the process their share of the project profits on their accounts within the system. Blockchain technology is responsible for ensuring a high level of information security. Smart contracts, which are concluded in it, provide automation of execution of confirmed transactions. This technology allows users to be paid when they reach the conditions prescribed in the contract. The main thing is that in this process human participation is not required. Changes or falsification of protocols is not possible due to the large number of copies. These replicas are stored on the shared network and any change must be confirmed by all project participants.

  • 10% of the total number of tokens should be distributed between the co-owners of SYSTRAN and the creators of the system each quarter by 8.3% for 3 years;
  • 18% are in reserve for the period of 36 months. The first 20% of 18% will be paid after 1 year from the date of currency issue. And 80% of the 18% of the reserve will be paid within every 6 months for 2 years;
  • dividends from the rest will be directed to the improvement of HMT transfer technology and the development of the ecosystem itself. The priority is to support the development of translations for linguistic minorities.
