WEI is the smallest and indivisible particle of Ether (ETH).

Bitcoin consists of millions of Satoshi, and the Ethereum cryptocurrency is divided into smaller parts. The exchange unit is called Ethereum “Ether”. To denote the use of ETH abbreviation and symbol in the form of a Greek letter Ξ.

All small bills are named after the pioneers in the field of cryptography. For example, the smallest and indivisible particle of ether is WEI (by the name of the Asian cryptographer Wei Dai). In one broadcast 1 000 000 000 000 000 000 WEI (which is 10 000 000 more than Satoshi in bitcoin). The reference air separability allows to operate with microscopic accuracy, up to trillions, with different amounts of money.

Szabo (by the name of the Creator of the idea of smart contracts Nika Sabo) is considered to be another usual exchange coin of ether. In one Szabo 1 000 000 000 000 WEI, or 0.000001 ether. But ether is not the largest unit of exchange. The largest denomination is the so-called Tether, which contains 1 000 000 000 Ether.

Parts of Ether (ETH)

If bitcoin has a rather unpretentious terminology (one Satoshi is enough), then in the case of Ether, everything is much more interesting – it has a whole classification table.
